Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967, is a Canadian actress from Canada. She became famous for her role in the role of Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after performing a number of characters on television. She has starred in Memento (2000) in which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006) for which she won the Genie Award for Best Performance by an actress in a Supporting Role, Disturbia (2007), Unthinkable (2010), Silent Hill: Revelation (2012) as well as Pompeii (2014). In addition, she played Jeri Hogarth in various television shows created by Marvel Television for Netflix, especially Jessica Jones (2015-2019). While in Spain, Moss obtained a part in the role of Tara clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. With the series, she moved from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss left Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn who played Samantha Collins. She enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and later, she appeared on Fox's soap opera in primetime Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. In July 1995, the show was put on hold. The show was a made-in-Canada series called Matrix. She was a frequent guest on television shows that included Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. [3] She received the Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest actor in Drama. Her film roles included many B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
