Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian as well as an American musician and singer. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as alternative and folk. But, they have influences from hip hop, jazz, and punk. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as the feminist's icon, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be to be the first creator of DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to launch the label she created in 1990. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Both her parents were both born in Montreal.
